Is Apple Tv Plus Taking Over Netflix?

The just-concluded Apple event brought us a lot of surprises, apart from iPhone 11, that we were all anxious to know the specifications, we were not expecting Netflix to have a competition.

The Apple Tv plus is set to launch on November 1st for $5 a month which in naira is  N1,812, as opposed to the $7.99 (N2,896) for the basic fee for Netflix. 

People who get to buy a new Apple gadget also get to watch for one free year, while everyone else qualifies for a seven-day free trial. 

Amazing Right? 

Apple Tv Plus will come with its own Original Tv and movie shows, it would also allow downloads offline. 

Apple mentioned that most Apple Tv Plus series will premiere with three episodes available immediately, followed by one new episode weekly. Full seasons of some series will be available all at once.  

Apple TV Plus will include these movies at its launch: The Morning Show starring Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell; Dickson, starring Hailee Steinfeld. 

It would also have series featuring popular Oprah Winfrey; Helpsters, a Sesame Street spinoff; a kids program called Ghostwriter; animated series Snoopy in Space; and The Elephant Queen, a movie the company acquired at the Toronto Film Festival.

What’s Apple Tv Plus Service like? 

To watch Apple’s original series or movies, you will have to subscribe. 

But guess what?? 

Unlike Nexflix there would not be adverts.

Apple TV plus will be available in more than 100 countries and also has the Apple family sharing feature that allows you and up to five family members to share a plan 

Which devices can stream? 

 All Apple devices that have the new Apple TV app will be able to use this service.

It would also be available on smart Tv’s from Samsung, Roku, Amazon’s Fire TV devices and Smart TVs from Sony LG and Vizio
